Biography:

Rex Dangervest is a character introduced in The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. He is a master archaeologist, cowboy, and raptor trainer.

Rex presents himself as an ultra-masculine, hardened hero, seemingly the opposite of Emmet Brickowski. He mentors Emmet, teaching him to be tougher and more "grown-up" in order to survive the harsh Apocalypseburg.

Ultimately, it is revealed that Rex is actually a future, embittered version of Emmet himself, warped by feelings of abandonment after being separated from his owner, Finn. His goal is to trigger "Armamageddon" to forever change the LEGO world into his desired state.
